Prima Vista

We were Prima Vistas' first event and it went spectacularly! I can't tell you how much it is worth that Ellen is the built in Day-of-Coordinator. It is so great to be able to give one person all your vendor info and they handle the rest with no back and forth with the property, because she is the property! We could give her a glance from afar and she swooped in to know what was needed and executed.
Her son, Dalton was a wonderfully supportive tech guy, and her husband(sorry that I blank on his name) was always willing to help with muscle and facility needs. Such a well entwined and small group is great for events, because you know exactly who to talk to about what, or they will pass on quickly to one another if needed. You already have to deal with your own families during a wedding, so it is great not to have to keep track of a large staff as well.

This is a new venue, and it doesn't open to the public until May, so we haven't had our wedding yet, but with all the services included, the kindness and professionalism we've experienced so far, plus the fact that it's in the Hill Country not too far from Austin, it's a fantastic value! They have their own day-of coordinator, so you don't have to stress about finding and paying for your own like you do with most other venues, they include set up and break down of chairs and tables, and they have their own linens. You're also allowed to bring in outside vendors for no extra fee as long as you let them know ahead of time, which I think is great!
I've already had so much help from Ellen (our day-of coordinator), and I really appreciate it. If you're looking for a venue that's a great value and more affordable than many other venues in the area, especially for what's included, I'd recommend trying out Prima Vista! :)

What a beautiful setting! If you love the Texas Hill Country then this is the place. Brand new and very roomy inside and out with all the amenities. The owners/hosts couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. We had a great time. Highly recommended for whatever event you planning

My husband and I recently had a chance to visit Prima Vista. What a delightful surprise! The venue has a modern vibe (Mid-Century modern) mixed with chic and elegant architectural details and set in the beauty of nature. We were totally impressed by this unique venue and are seriously discussing using this place to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary by renewing our vows!

Had the perfect wedding here! Guests were constantly complimenting the venue throughout the entire wedding. Ellen is a pleasure to work with and she made our wedding planning substantially easier. On the day of the wedding she was very organized and everything went according to plan. Glad I chose Prima Vista!

I had previously reviewed Prima Vista with my old account (with a different wedding date we used as a random placeholder before we actually settled on something). I couldn't figure out how to update it, so I made a new one!
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I can't say enough good things about this venue. It's stunning, and the couple who own it, Ellen and David, are the sweetest people ever. Ellen offers Day-of Coordination services at no extra charge, and she's absolutely fantastic at it. Tables, chairs, basic ivory linens, and string lights are also provided at no extra charge. We had our wedding here on 11/24/19 and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Everything ran smoothly, and after months of intense planning, I was able to fully relax and enjoy my wedding day 🙂 It was perfect. We had so much fun! All our guests are still going on about how it was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they've ever been to. And the best part? It didn't break the bank! If you're looking for an affordable venue that has a lot included in the rental price and isn't just another barn, a venue your guests will rave about, and a venue run by amazing and extremely competent people who know what they're doing and care about giving you the best experience possible, you can't go wrong with Prima Vista! Prima Vista is an amazing upscale hill country venue! My experience was magical. The venue is modern and sleek, surrounded by huge oaks and meandering paths. There isn't any space that isn't inviting. We had wonderful hosts, impeccable catering and loved every second. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of attending an event at Prima Vista in November. The facility is amazing. Contemporary meets the Hill Country. From the architecture of the Main Event Center to the quaintness of the Pavilion it is obvious that a lot of time and effort was undertaken to make sure the facilities are beautiful. Inside the Main Event Center there are spacious Suites for the parties to spend time and stay relaxed, a huge and beautiful fireplace. The space is a really nice size with a bar area tucked into a corner, two flat screen televisions that can be used for showing pictures and a Caterers corner complete with warming ovens. Just off of the Main Event Center there is a huge deck overlooking the most wonderful scenery and sunsets. The deck includes a large fire feature that added fantastic audience on the chilly evening. The outdoor ceremony site is beautiful and is sized to accommodate small or large crowds.
David, Ellen and all of the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Their hands on approach led to a beautiful event. I would highly recommend Prima Vista and encourage everyone looking for a Hill Country location to visit Prima Vista

This is a beautiful setting for a wedding or any other event in the hill country! The owners are fantastic as well and really work hard to ensure their guests have a good time. Catering was good too. Highly recommend Prima Vista!

Our wedding was a dream come true from beginning to end. We instantly fell in love with the venue as soon as we parked our car. It has the beautiful hill country scenery with. Modern twist reception building.
Ellen and David are wonderful people to work with. They made everything so easy to plan our wedding with us living hours away. Ellen always stayed in contact with me weekly and helped anyway she could with vendor recommendations and scheduling the day of the wedding. Both David and Ellen were so helpful and hands on to make sure everything was perfect for our special day! I could not ask for a more beautiful, relaxing and fun wedding.

Prima Vista is beyond beautiful! When my fiancé and I went to tour, Ellen and Dave were extremely helpful and made sure to show us each unique part of their venue! This venue is a must see and I appreciate Ellen and Dave for making us feel at home.

Overall an amazing venue and location for our daughter's wedding. Even guests commented how nice and well thought out the venue was. David and Ellen are amazing with very responsive and personable communication (I'll miss communicating with them!). The open house weekend, helped further visualize the overall plan for the wedding. The borrow closet was an added bonus! We toured a few venues before choosing Prima Vista and clearly couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommend.

We absolutely love Prima Vista. My husband and I got married there Oct 23, 2021 and it was truly perfect start to finish! Ellen and David are the sweetest and really go the extra mile to make sure everything goes according to plan. For the months leading up to my wedding I was constantly bothering them with questions but they were always quick to respond with plenty of details! This venue has so much more than other venues I toured!! Prima Vista has packages to set up all tables, linens, and even some decor (which they have a bunch of decor to borrow so you do not have to pack everything) and they were super helpful in finding me my vendors. This makes such a big difference when you are trying to plan the wedding yourself and is probably the only reason I did not need a wedding planner! But the venue also comes with a day-of coordinator which I have not seen offered by any other venues and was much appreciated! Additionally, the venue's coordinator Cecily is organized and extremely helpful the day of. She was on top of all the vendors and schedule for the wedding, making sure every guest was aware and ready for each little event during the wedding. My husband and I got so many compliments for picking this venue because the land is gorgeous and they have a separate ceremony site, cocktail pavillion, reception hall, and deck! This allowed the guests to walk around and explore but everything is side by side so even though its large the whole night felt very intimate. Also the Bridal and Groom suites are the best I have seen! Plenty of room to get ready and the grooms even have a place to play pool while they wait - which they loved! I with I could give 10 stars because this venue was the best choice my husband and I made for our wedding!

I can’t say enough about Ellen and her husband. Seriously- we booked them without even physically stepping foot on the property. Something just *felt* right. From value to beauty Prima Vista is such a gem. We had rave reviews from family both local and from out of state. I love the options for ceremony as we had a HUGE downpour that morning but it cleared beautifully by our ceremony time. Ellen- special thanks to you for clearing pathways! The paving made it accessible for my grandparents which was a concern. A million thanks!!

We had an incredible experience with Prima Vista from start to finish. If you are looking for a mix of Hill Country views and greenery with a luxury feel that is still affordable near Austin this place is truly a hidden gem.
In terms of value it honestly exceeded our expectations. So many essentials are included like tables chairs decor and full setup and breakdown which saved us time and money compared to other venues we looked at. The space is already so beautiful on its own that we barely needed extra decor. The views and overall design really do all the work for you. They were also very clear and helpful when it came to pricing which made it easy for us to stay within budget without feeling like we were giving anything up. As for professionalism the team was amazing. They were responsive organized and you can tell they really care about making your day special. Every question we had was answered quickly and the whole planning process felt easy and low stress. On the wedding day everything flowed so smoothly and we were actually able to relax and enjoy it. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was especially at sunset. We would 100 percent recommend Prima Vista to anyone looking for a venue that feels elevated and beautiful but still practical and budget friendly.

Completely blown away with the venue and the owners. Makes this old guy wanna ask his Wife again to tie the knot. Easy to find, beautiful setting and thoughtfully laid out for wedding or a Hill Country get together.

Absolutely perfect venue for my son and his bride! Ellen could not have been more helpful or easy to work with. The venue is spacious, set in a gorgeous location with indoor and outdoor areas. The deck is the perfect spot for cocktails. I can't say enough good things about Prima Vista!

Where to begin! Prima Vista is just stunning! We loved everything that was included with this venue including the “Brides Borrowed” closet! David and Ellen the owners of Prima Vista are so accommodating and always available to answer even the smallest of questions. Our day was perfect from the start! Truly can’t thank y’all enough for making our day as magical as we had hoped.

Prima Vista was an exceptional venue for our wedding. David and Ellen offered excellent guidance without being heavy handed and were always quick to respond to even the most minor questions. They helped us create a package that streamlined our wedding planning - with a perfect package of caterer, bartender, and DJ. The site is beautiful and an excellent showcase of the Hill Country landscape. Really excellent value as well. Highly recommended.

From start to finish David and Ellen have been amazing and extremely helpful! The second we saw the venue and met them we knew this is the place to say I DO! The venue was beautiful, clean, and unique. Along the way David and Ellen were so responsive to any questions I had. We chose to add the catering package and it was SO worth it! Come to day of Ellen coordinated the day and everything went so smooth. It was honestly the best day I could have ever asked for and I have Prima Vista to thank for making my dreams come true, it’s a day we will never forget! I can’t thank you both enough!

We were in search of a Hill Country wedding venue that offered a ceremony space as well as a reception hall all under one roof or on one property. Upon arrival, we were delighted to discover that this venue was not a barn like several other locations we had visited before. It also paired well with our theme of a modern dark and moody evening. In addition to being an affordable venue with table and chair setup and tear down, plus an onsite kitchen and adequate parking, we ultimately chose Prima Vista specifically to work with the owners, David and Ellen Livingston. David helps his couples stay organized and has a great sense of attention to detail. Ellen expressed excellent communication since day 1. They have never gave us anything to worry about and are such a pleasure to work with.

I am a local wedding photographer who has shot more than a few weddings at Prima Vista over the last four years. It is a stunning new venue, with all the comforts provided, and is nestled perfectly within the hill country trees in Wimberley. I love Prima Vista because it has a very modern and unique feel but still provides beautiful scenery for photos and for the guests to enjoy. Every wedding I've photographed there has gone so smoothly! I hope to enjoy many more in the future!
