Our Story
Luke was playing a sold-out show at Gruene Hall and I was on a vacation with friends for the week at Canyon Lake. On a whim, our group bought tickets to the show and made our way to Gruene Hall. When I walked in, I saw the cutest guy behind the merchandise booth. I asked him how I could get my friend a birthday shoutout and he said it was his brother's birthday, too. My friends and I walked further in and realized the merch guy was playing on stage with Curtis Grimes! (We actually missed Luke's show... Oops!) The set went on and he didn't get the shoutout quick enough and I threw my hands up! He noticed me and we locked eyes and smiled. Throughout the show, we continued to smile at one another and I quickly made my way to the front of the hall. As soon as the show was over, we found each other in the crowd and I introduced myself. I told my friends I was not going to leave until I got the cute piano guy's number! One Luke Prater t-shirt and a phone number exchange later, I began traveling every weekend after that to San Antonio to watch Luke's shows. We got engaged on New Year's Eve under the fireworks and surrounded by our family and friends; it was something out of a movie! No other place seemed fitting enough for our ceremony and reception than the same little town we met in! Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way. We are so excited to be The Praters!
