New York Bridal Fashion Week Recap! Lace, feathers, fringe!

New York Luxury Bridal Fashion Week is over and the wedding gown world is abuzz without all the newest trends from the designers Spring 2023 collections!

Weddings today are getting big and celebrating large – and that includes the wedding gowns. The runway was full of big ball gowns, feathery touches, loads of sparkle and all over lace.

Here’s the list of our favorite trends from NYLFW 2022!

The Bubble Skirt

Bubble skirts were all over the runway for the Spring 2023 collections. We love that you can wear them long or short or some combination of the two! Super stylish and great for the bride who wants a stand-out look.

The Ballgown

All things weddings are going big and you definitely saw this on the runway! Big, sweeping ball gowns looks were seen from Ines de Santo to Peter Langer. The look is done up in full satin skirts or with loads of tulle for princess vibes.

The Lacey Number

Paris Hilton started us dreaming about lace wedding gowns with her recent nuptials, and the wedding designers delivered. We saw head to toe lace gowns in addition to lace sleeves and lots of high collars. Romantic and elegant!

The Corset

We love a good corset dress and were pleased to see so many in the Spring 2023 wedding fashions! A corset can be racey or romantic depending on the wedding gown details. Reem Acra gave us the romance by pairing the corset top with a long, flowing skirt. Ines by Ines Studio and Lihi Hod gave us the sexy with long, fitted skirts.

The Jazzy Gal

For brides who want a little (or a lot of!) sparkle, this trend is for you. Jazz age inspiration was all over the runway in short, fringey numbers and lots of sparkle. Berta gave us a full-on sparkle number and we are so here for this Naeem Khan fringe look!

The Feathery Details

Feathered details have been trending big in wedding gowns the last number of years and this trend isn’t heading out anytime soon. Whether it’s mega-feathers like this Ines de Santo number or just a few details like this Jesus Sato gown, feathers are fun and romantic.
