Our StoryJorge and I met while working in the wedding industry, he worked at a wedding venue as a catering manager and I as an independent wedding planner. One day we happened to be working the same event at the same time, we didn’t talk much but we both caught one another looking at each other throughout the evening. I used to work at Walgreens as a beauty consultant and the very next day after the wedding I happened to have an evening shift. Coincidentally Jorge was buying dog food at my store?!?!?!? Obviously, I freaked out, turned around, and walked away hoping he didn’t see me. As I was ringing a customer up, he came to my register, it was obviously awkward at first, we exchanged phone numbers and come to find out he lived down the street from my house! Meant to be right? The rest is pretty much history, we hit it off from the get-go. We were engaged for 4 years, together for 5 before we tied the knot. As a wedding planner, I HAD to plan my own wedding! We had almost all of our vendors picked as soon as we started planning because we knew everyone in the industry. I had a vision in my mind since I first started planning weddings of how I wanted my dream wedding to be, and I can say everything was perfect to a T. It seems like time has gone by so fast, but we are so happy to finally be married.
