Our Story
Like many couples, we met in 2018 through the Hinge dating app after a video on Isabel’s profile sparked a conversation about our shared experience of cliff jumping in Croatia. It was SXSW in Austin, and both of us were planning to be out and about with our friends enjoying the many events that descend on the city. Andrew suggested we get our groups together at Cheer Up Charlies for some live music so the plans were set. Once we got all of our friends into Cheer Ups, everyone instantly clicked and we settled in for a great day of local live music. Since then, we’ve supported each other through the loss of Isabel’s mother in 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic, a cross-country move to Columbus, Ohio, and new careers for both of us. We have become a great team and the best of friends who value very similar things - memorable life experiences, quality time surrounded by friends and family, and putting as much kindness into the world as we can. Andrew proposed on October 23, 2021, while visiting Isabel’s alma mater, Notre Dame, for a football game. As we kicked off wedding planning, we knew Austin would be at the heart of our nuptials. Not only important to us as the city where we met, but a place that encapsulates so much what we enjoy - great food, great music, and great weather! Discovering that New Year’s Eve 2022 would be on a Saturday was the icing on the cake. With the help of all our vendors and the expertise of our wedding planner, Lahoma Dade, we were able to celebrate our love and ring in 2023 surrounded by people we love!
