Our Story
Jennifer and I met when my coworker invited me to his girlfriend's (Jennifer's friend of 30 years-ish) birthday party on October 7th, 2021. I knew it was a set-up to be introduced to one of her friends, but had no other information but her name. The place was loud and conversation at the table was not easy. After the meal, we moved to the bar area, and we were finally able to have a conversation. That night, I did not get her phone number. And I learned later that she was not happy about this, or at least disappointed. I obtained her number through my coworker a few days later after helping them on their renovation project. I contacted Jennifer the next day and quickly scheduled a date for the following Friday at Milano's. The date was really nice despite Jennifer being sick that day. We scheduled for coffee the next day. The plan to get coffee turned into a plan to get lunch. We both wanted to get a dessert after and started driving to find a place serving coffee and sweets. We drove again but quickly got to the hill country and drove for a while. We finally got back to civilization and stopped at Merit Coffee. We took our coffee and drove back to a cute little bar we had seen on the side of the road. At the bar, The Divide, we finished our coffee and had a couple drinks and then dinner. We finally left the place way into the night, after our first kiss under the stars. After that day, we saw each other every other day. It then became every day, and so on until I proposed on October 16th, just about a year after I had first had the pleasure to lay eyes on her.
