Our Story
Concept & Details: We recently had the opportunity to visit Rancho MC (located in Burleson, right outside of Dallas) and I met Canelo who is a gorgeous red Friesian horse. And it was nearly instantly the idea came to mind as having a whole photo/styled shoot inspired by the red and golden colors that the horse had. With the seasons changing and all the leaves falling, the most beautiful color palettes come to life around this time of year. I wanted to incorporate the Fall season into the shoot by adding pops of pumpkin and terra-cotta along with the darker rusty orange colors as well. We paid really close attention to detail on this shoot and wanted to show off the simplicity of a beautiful horse but at the same time elevate the details with the romantic ball gowns, alluring decor, and accessories. Having all the elegance with the added macramé, the Pampas arrangements, and details like the little pumpkins on our reception picnic table really brought everything altogether giving the feel of the bohemian style incorporated into this Fall shoot portrayed in the stunning photos we had hoped to achieve. With the bigger ball gowns and unique dresses, we felt they added a touch of magic to the shoot with their glamorous yet modernist bohemian vibes … really giving it such diversity of styles that I think most brides would appreciate. It was so important to me to showcase that not all brides just come in one shape, size, and color. Often times when it comes to bridal magazines or bridal shops, they don’t necessarily always feature the elements of what real brides look like. I loved having the opportunity to work with a diverse group of models and show that really anyone can make a beautiful bride and groom. We hope all the brides/couples who see this and love the bohemian chic style along with these richer, warm colors will be inspired while planning their weddings!
