Our Story
It was really important for us to incorporate personal touches into our wedding. All of my earrings for the welcome dinner, ceremony, and reception were made by my amazing godmother, who worked with me for months to design the perfect look. We imported my favorite hot chocolate, Angelina Paris, from New York, to have something from our time living together in Manhattan. Our napkins and stir sticks featured our toy poodle, Teddy Bear — whom we called our “ring bear” — on them, designed by our incredibly talented friend Aedan Richter. She also hand-painted our welcome sign and guestbook and designed parts of our invitation suite alongside CalliRosa. Before our first look, we exchanged gifts; I made John a scrapbook with every great adventure we’ve been on since we met in August 2017. He gave me a beautiful lighthouse lamp because we’ve always called each other our lighthouses shining our way home. The hit of the night was the personalized ice cubes from Full Spectrum Ice. We also got ballet flats for anyone wearing heels, so they could change out and relax for the night — that seemed to be highly appreciated, and I still get messages from people saying they’re using them around the house. We brought in chocolate liqueur for chocolate martinis, my favorite drink, and my veil and wrap — as well as my bridesmaids' wraps — had specialized designs that I commissioned from a boutique in Vietnam to match our bouquets.
