Our Story
Kye and I went to high school together but we weren't in the same close friends group; although we did have some overlapping friends. He mostly just enjoyed annoying me in our biology class during sophomore year! After high school, we both went to different colleges and Kye eventually had to move from Austin to Denver for his job. Luckily, he moved back in the late summer of 2017 and a picture of him on Facebook caught my eye... I reached out to our mutual friends to see if we could have a group hangout/outing and the rest is history! We officially reconnected in November of 2017 and we have been together ever since! We bought our house in April 2021, got engaged in Redondo Beach, CA in May 2022, and were married in March of 2023. I always dreamed of getting married in central/downtown Austin (hometown to us both). The Bob Bullock Museum seemed dreamy with its tall ceilings, grand entrance, and beautiful outdoor plaza. It was the absolutely perfect location and setting for our special day. I think about our wedding every single day and relive that magical night in my head constantly. We love to go to the beach, go out to different types of restaurants in Austin, and spend time with our two-year-old golden retriever, Ava. We are also so happy and lucky that both of our families are still in the Austin and surrounding Austin area!
