Our Story
As fate would have it, one random Sunday in January of 2019, I met my husband, Angel. I didn’t think a small interaction with a stranger would change my life forever. But from the instant that our eyes locked, there was no mistaking our connection. From that day forward, our relationship grew and we were inseparable. We tested our relationship by moving 1,400 miles away from home for a few months. During this time, we confirmed how truly special what we found in each other was. During our experiences together from Coast to Coast of the United States, the middle of the Caribbean, and the Pacific Ocean we have grown together more and more. We got engaged on the Fourth of July in Hawaii. Our original wedding date was set on 09/20/2020, however, due to COVID, we decided to postpone the date to 02/21/2021. After many months of planning and preparing, we had one unexpected hurdle to get through together. The Texas winter storm began on 02/14/2021, exactly one week before our wedding. Many people, including us, lost power and water. However; on Friday the temperatures started to rise and snow began to melt. The added stress of the unknown was almost too much for us to handle, but with the help of my coordinator Marby, we were able to get all the details confirmed by Friday night. There were many adjustments made such as a new baker, new photographer, and new makeup artist. Luckily for us, the weekend following the winter storm was beautiful. There were sunny skies and warmer temperatures. On Sunday, the day of the wedding, everything went better than planned. We were able to have an outdoor ceremony surrounded by close family and friends and I didn’t have to wear a coat after all. The main flower was dried lavender, and it was all around. Everything was perfect, we were so happy. The reception was amazing and everyone had a great night. The next few days felt like a dream. I couldn’t believe how smooth and beautiful it all turned out after planning our wedding before the pandemic and after the winter storm.
