Our Story
We met as coworkers in 2013. I knew the moment I laid eyes on him that he would be a part of my life forever. We clicked right away. He was funny, charming, and had a captivating smile. We started off as friends and began to fall for one another as time passed. He definitely made that job worthwhile and, without it, I wouldn’t have found the love of my life. We officially started our relationship on August 5th of that year and have been inseparable ever since. As I got to know Jacob, I knew he was everything I could ever ask for. After 6 years of dating, Jacob proposed to me on March 20, 2019, in Matapouri, New Zealand on Whale Bay. We were walking along the beach and I had my camera so I could take photos of the sunset. As I turn to snap a photo, I look back and see him standing looking nervously over at me. He grabbed my hand trembling and I knew this was it. He got down on one knee and asked “Reneé, will you marry me?”. I was completely taken by surprise and immediately said yes! As we held and kissed one another, a light shower of rain began to trickle down. I knew this was a sign that moment was meant to be. We decided to open a business together in August of that same and our vegan burger joint, Blissful Burgers, was born. After many years of love and laughter, we got married on August 5, 2022, on my grandfather’s ranch surrounded by our loved ones. The ceremony and reception were beautiful. So many of our guests complimented how unique our wedding was. It is a day we will cherish for the rest of our lives
