What inspired you to start this company?
Clik’d Studios began from our passion for capturing authentic moments that tell meaningful stories. After years of documenting weddings as independent photographers, we recognized a gap in the industry – many couples wanted both photography and videography services from the same team, ensuring a cohesive style and seamless experience. We founded Clik’d to provide couples with a more personalized approach where they work directly with their photographer and videographer throughout the entire process, rather than being handed off between team members. This direct relationship creates trust and comfort that shows in the final images and videos. Our vision was to blend editorial elegance with genuine emotion, creating wedding imagery that feels both timeless and authentic. We’re driven by the joy of preserving life’s most meaningful celebrations in a way that allows couples to relive those moments for generations to come.
What is your best planning advice or tip for couples?
The best advice we can give to couples planning their wedding is to prioritize what truly matters to you as a couple, not what social media or others suggest you “should” have. Take time early in the planning process to identify the 3-5 elements that are most important to your celebration – whether that’s photography, music, food, or a specific venue – and allocate your budget accordingly. When it comes to your wedding day itself, build in buffer time throughout your timeline. Everything takes longer than you think, from getting ready to family photos. Having that extra cushion means you can actually enjoy the day without constant stress about running behind schedule. And finally, choose vendors you connect with personally. You’ll spend more time with your photographer and videographer on your wedding day than almost anyone else, including each other! Make sure they’re people you feel comfortable with, as that connection directly impacts how natural and relaxed you’ll appear in your photos and videos.
What is your favorite part of your work week and why?
My favorite part of the work week is delivery day – when we send couples their finalized photos and videos. After investing weeks in carefully editing and perfecting their wedding story, there’s nothing more rewarding than knowing they’re experiencing those emotions all over again as they view their images for the first time. I love imagining them cuddled up on the couch, perhaps sharing a bottle of wine, and reliving their day through our work. The excitement in their responses and hearing which moments resonated most with them reinforces why we do what we do. While shooting days are certainly thrilling with all their creative energy, there’s something special about that moment of completion, when all the planning, shooting, and editing culminate in a beautiful collection that will be treasured for generations. It transforms our work from a service into a lasting legacy for our couples, and that never gets old.
