What services do you provide?

Here at Cutting Edge we provide Wedding DJ, Karaoke and photo booth services. Our team works to give couples a full-service experience, from their first consultation to their last dance. With our unlimited music library and various lighting services, we will go above and beyond to turn your venue into a visually rich setting. Each of our packages are built around what you want!

What sets your company apart from similar ones in the same field?

Our years of experience, we have been in business for almost fifty years! We are very responsive to all communication and love meeting face-to-face with our clients in our showroom.

What is your best planning advice or tip for couples?

Take it easy! When you over plan, and work out every last detail, you increase the chance of something not going exactly the way that you expect it to. Trust in the professional vendors that you’ve hired, so you can kick back and enjoy your event.

What made you get into the wedding & events industry? How many years have you been in it?

Personally, I have been a mobile DJ since 1987, working for a couple of DJ companies outside of Chicago. I just loved music and wanted to play it for other people and have them react to the different styles and genres. I moved to Texas and started working as a DJ at Cutting Edge in 1990. I took the business over in 1994 and I’m still here! It has been a wild ride….we’ve operated in other cities in Texas and also co-operated a limousine business for about a decade in the 2000’s.

What is your favorite wedding tradition and why?

Call me sappy, but I love the first dance. It’s a very special moment, this is the very FIRST time they are dancing together as husband and wife. They will hopefully share hundreds more dances together as a married couple, but this is the very first one!
