Dreaming of a Hill Country venue with breathtaking backdrops? Say “I do” amidst nature’s beauty. We recently visited with Jenny Carloye, owner of Inspiring Oaks Ranch, and she shared with us the details of her and her family’s role in the venue, what services they provide, her best planning advice or tips for couples, and much more!

 Are you married? Do you have children? Tell us about your family.

We are a family-run business. My husband is fifth generation (from Fredericksburg) and he manages our conservation easement, wildlife management, and overall maintenance. My son Greg is focused on running the wedding business by providing onsite management and tours, as well as answering the day-to-day emails and inquiries. Although I initially started the business with the help of my husband, I have now taken a backseat and am more involved with the marketing. Our other three children have helped out over the years as well. The ranch has been a touch point for our family, and we are proud of what we have accomplished together.

What services do you provide?

We are thrilled to offer Inspiring Oaks Ranch for couples who are looking for a venue with fabulous Hill Country views, gorgeous Live Oak trees, and onsite lodging. We specialize in offering our venue for the weekend, so you can enjoy time with friends and family on this momentous occasion! Our Wonderful Weekend Wedding package includes exclusive use of the venue for the whole weekend, with lodging for up to 24 guests for two nights. Folks arrive Friday morning, have the whole day for arrival and setup, and then can host the rehearsal dinner onsite. The day of the wedding is devoted to getting dressed and ready for a beautiful ceremony amongst the oak trees, followed by a cocktail hour, and then the dinner and celebration in our Event Hall.

What sets your company apart from similar ones in the same field?

People often comment on how at home they feel here. The ranch house, event hall, studio, and guest house provide a unique space that is naturally beautiful, and architecturally stunning, yet intimate and inviting. There is plenty to do here, including a game room with pool and ping pong, walking trails, a basketball court, and a yard perfect for cornhole and other yard games. We also offer a pool and hot tub for people to gather around. At the same time, there are plenty of nooks and crannies for folks to relax and visit. For those who are bringing family and friends from out of state or out of the country, we are a genuine Texas ranch, complete with a wide open sky and great sunsets.

What made you get into the wedding & events industry? How many years have you been in it?

In the hustle and bustle of modern life, I think people crave the opportunity to be out in nature. We offer our venue as a place to do just that! Yet, we offer all the modern conveniences of the internet, high-end lodging, and a beautiful spot to sit and visit. We started our business in 2012 and have enjoyed the thrill of hosting beautiful weddings for over a decade. We feel truly blessed to be able to provide a special place for family and friends to gather for the wedding of their loved ones.

What is your best planning advice or tip for couples?

Our best planning tip for couples is to try and keep it simple, giving you more time to spend with the people you love. It is easy to get caught up in all the Pinterest possibilities, but here you have a place that is already beautiful. Just add your own personal touch here and there!
