In a recent visit we had with Lacey Kozekwa, the owner of Perfectly Planned by Lacey, she opened up about her life, as she recently career changed after a decade as a dental hygienist. Lacey’s journey into event planning began with hosting gatherings for friends and family, and their encouragement led her to transform it into a fulfilling career. What services do you provide?
I provide full-service event/party planning and decorating. I create custom backdrops that include sequins, drapery(solid colors or multicolors), arches, disco ball walls, and greenery backdrops, I can add custom wording to certain backdrops and can hang neon-lit signs to any backdrop. I also offer balloon decor, 3 ft marquee light-up letters and numbers, charcuterie grazing tables/boards/cups, custom acrylic wedding signs or any sign needed, bride & groom champagne decorated bottles, framed slideshow display for photos, food table setups as well as custom bridesmaid/groomsmen gifts.
What sets your company apart from similar ones in the same field?
I am a small woman-owned business that creates everything by hand and ensures that I go above and beyond for each client. I am reasonably priced and I make sure their vision is brought to life better than they imagined. I am punctual, I really care about my clients, and make sure they have outstanding communication with me.
What made you get into the wedding & events industry? How many years have you been in it?
I have always had a passion and a keen eye for putting things together for events I have hosted in the past so I finally decided to get into this business. I recently ventured into the wedding industry as a decorator this year. As a past bride myself, I know how stressful bringing everything together can be. I love to take the bride’s vision and create it ten times better than what she imagined at a stress-free level. Although I am new to the wedding scene, my quality of work and attention to detail are nothing short of outstanding.
What is your favorite wedding trend right now and why?
I absolutely LOVE the charcuterie grazing tables! It is such an elegant touch to food for your guests and I love incorporating the couples’ themes into my tables, such as colors, floral, names, etc. These are amazing to have during cocktail hour and while waiting for the main course to be served.
Are you a foodie? What’s your go-to dish?
I am 100% a foodie, I have never met a food I did not like.. except for liver and pate haha. You will always find a charcuterie board at my gatherings and my go-to dish would have to be my homemade chicken and dumplings.
