Always make time for each other, even when life gets busy. Support each other’s dreams, share the responsibilities, and never stop dating—no matter how many years pass. And remember: it’s not about having a perfect love story—it’s about choosing each other, every single day.

What is your favorite part of your work week and why?

The best part of our work week? Cake pickup and delivery days—especially Fridays and Saturdays! That’s when we finally get to see the reactions of our customers as they lay eyes on their custom cakes. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch a child light up at their birthday cake, or a couple get emotional seeing their dream wedding cake brought to life. After hours of sketching, baking, and decorating, those smiles make all the hard work worth it. Plus, we love seeing our creations head off to become the centerpiece of someone’s celebration—it’s like sending a little piece of joy out into the world.

What inspired you to start this company?

We started Sugar Shaker Bakery out of a simple love for baking—and an even bigger love for making people smile. What began as baking cakes for family birthdays and friends’ weddings quickly grew into a passion for turning meaningful moments into edible art. We were inspired by the idea that a cake isn’t just dessert—it’s the centerpiece of life’s sweetest celebrations. From first birthdays to “I do’s,” we wanted to create something that felt personal, joyful, and unforgettable.
