What sets your company apart from similar ones in the same field?

There are tons of options for food and drink tours in Austin….in any town, really! But Twisted Texas is the only one who brings the party on board with live music! Our Brunch Bus and Brew Bus feature local, professional, three piece bands that play on board as you travel in style between stops. Our private van tours also host a solo musician on board! We’ll take you places off the beaten path and show you the *real* Austin!

Why do you love this company and your job?

I inherited this company when our founder passed away unexpectedly in 2021. Prior to her passing, I was a tour guide with Twisted Texas, so I was on the buses, leading tours, and in the middle of all the adventures. Creating fun on board and getting to share my favorite city ever (Austin) with people from all over the world was the most enjoyable part of my job. Now that I’m on the “back end” of everything, I take pride in the logistics of crafting memorable outings that cater to people’s desires. Knowing that I’m the magic behind the scenes that sets up these joy-filled events is incomparable.

What services do you provide?

We provide both full blown tours and simple transportation…but all with live music on board! Our two most popular tours (Brunch Bus and Brew Bus) appeal to bachelorette and bachelor parties, respectively, as ways to kick back with your crew and have a memorable adventure before you tie the knot. We offer the only concert-on-wheels experience in Austin, so whether you want a food and drink filled day, or a wild ride to your venue, we’re here for you!

What is your favorite part of your work week and why?

Every Monday, I log in to various review sites and check out our reviews from the previous week. While this might sound like a perfect way to ruin your day, seeing those 5 star happy reviews actually reminds me why I do what I do, in terms of creating these itineraries. My guides, drivers, and bands all go above and beyond to provide adventures like no other. Every Monday I also peek at the candid photos/videos my guides capture on their tours, and seeing all the smiling face, hearing the groups sing their hearts out as they zoom down the freeway…it makes it all worthwhile!

What is your best planning advice or tip for couples?

Don’t try to pack every moment of every day, but rather give yourself some time to decompress and relax along the journey. You won’t be able to plan for every instance, so focus on what truly matters at the end of the day–you’re with people you love (who love you). An unanticipated tweak to your vision may end up being the best part of the whole experience!
