What is your best planning advice or tip for couples?

One of the greatest services we provide is planning and day of staff. If you’re a go getter and do-it-yourselfer weddings can be fun and bring out the crafty in all of us. But most couple or brides don’t avoid the biggest pitfall of every wedding. Never assign yourself duties to perform on the day of the event. You will never have enough time to get it right or do it all yourself. I advise every client to hire a professional, experienced staff, or find the most dedicated person to delegate those jobs too. Write down and provide clear instructions, set priorities high, but maintain realistic expectations and plan to have backups. It is A LOT of work to make a wedding look effortless. Remember for every detail, dance, dinner accent, guest experience, there may be countless hours that went into the planning for a single highly anticipated one time moment that will last forever. Don’t be a planning loaner, assemble a pack of trusted confidants that can help you execute your vision.

What sets your company apart from similar ones in the same field?

Two Ten Entertainment from that start has been about more that putting on events. As professionals we offer input on execution for clients to ensure a clean, hassle free, and professional experience that will be remembered. We offer an array of questions during our consultation to gain insight into the ends and outs of every event no matter the size of the event. In our industry details matter and that personal touch can put your event over the top with a connection that can last forever.

What inspired you to start this company?

Two Ten Entertainment was born from what originally was called Two Ten Music. My partner Doug and I had tons of music between us and we found ourselves having long conversation after big events about what music could have been played, when it could have been played and be able to build an experience every time that dazzle guests and leave them wanting more. So we started slowly gaining equipment and performing at events. Of course we fell on our face a couple of times but you can never know how to win without losing a couple times before. Now 12 years later, I have taken the reigns and my partner has moved on to take on personal goals. We are Two Ten Entertainment now offering DJ, Photo Booths, 360 Video Booths, live entertainers, and a whole host of other services to accompany every event.

What made you get into the wedding & events industry? How many years have you been in it?

I LOVE DOING WEDDINGS! They are so much fun. 99% of the time everyone is there to show their support for two great individuals who want to share their commitment to one another in front of their loved ones. The beautiful ceremonies that I have been a part of and the special music that i get to play. Designing a timeline and talking through the logistics and footwork with the couple/coordination team. I get so excited talking about all of the little details of what’s going to happen. I enjoy the pageantry of the event and the traditions that live on through family. I also love wedding cakes, ther designs, the flavors and the cutest moments when they cut and share the sweet goodness that we all love. The moments when the couple is dancing with their friends and family having a great time is the best feeling as an entertainer. I love being the one person who adds the soundtrack to the entire event.

Why do you love this company and your job?

Starting in the industry, I didn’t set any expectations at first. Then, as I gained more and more experience, I saw how events went and would be disappointed that I missed an opportunity or thought of something that could have created a funny moment, designed a lasting photo to be treasured. Those are the things I think about all of the time now. I enjoy meeting new people all of the time and getting to work with vendors in the industry has brings a sense of fun and wonder of where am I going next, who’s going to be there, what am I gonna get to do today? Sometimes the best fun is not knowing until the event starts. I have plans, backups, and canned experiences for almost every moment now, but there still exists the times when someone or something will happen that surprises again and again. It’s a great feeling and when I started 12 years ago i have been chasing it with every new experience. I look forward to getting up in the morning being surprised every day!
