Dakota’s Wedding Journey Part four – Themes are to be followed

Everyone in the wedding industry knows that if that couple has a theme or idea for their big day you follow it as much as possible. I went for an array of different florals, from wildflowers to pastels. I just knew I wanted everything to look bright and alive for me and my husband’s wedding day. I think that these vendors really did a great job of following that idea and making my vision come to life.

The hair has to match the dress

When I first started talking to Lily  with Lily Antoinette Hair & Makeup I knew she was a perfect fit for me and my girls. Lily is just so sweet and has just a lively personality that I knew she would make me, my bridesmaids, and my family feel so comfortable and excited during the morning of the wedding.

When it came to my hair I knew I wanted to do a relaxed version of a slick back bun with a headpiece so my dress would be the focal point. She did just that, but still made it elevated to match my wedding. Let’s not forget that  my hair looked the exact same from my bridal portraits to my wedding day which is something I really appreciated, along with it lasting the whole day both times!

The floral is the decor

After seeing Pretty Petals Floral Boutique at our Bridal Extravaganza Shows I knew I wanted them to do the floral arrangements for my wedding. Letty the owner has so much experience when it came to everything I wanted and asked for that I just knew it would be what I imagined the day of. When we did our first meeting she walked me through everything I needed to know. What she could do with my inspiration, what type of flowers she would and wouldn’t be able to use that time of year, how many people needed a bouquet or boutonniere with our parties, ideas for my bouquet toss, and where I wanted floral in my venue.

Letty and her team did a spectacular job on my wedding day. For the ceremony they put together this amazing arch that just fit perfectly in front of Thistlewood manor and garden’s fountain. Along with the arch they put small vases down the aisle and flowers adorning the aisle chairs. All of the bouquets were absolutely stunning and each one of my bridesmaids were so excited that they got to bring them home afterwards. Along with the bouquets all of the groomsmen had their boutonnieres to bring some color to their black tuxedos.  For the Reception they made the grand staircase come to life with these pastel flowers going all the way down and had greenery coming down all of the columns in the main room. And let’s not forget about the multiple vases on each table that pulled the whole room together.

I really just can’t Preference enough how much I love and trust Pretty Petals Floral Boutique and how I can’t think of any better company to hire and work with for your wedding.

A photo booth is a need

When I was planning my wedding I knew I wanted a photo booth but I completely put it on the back burner. Make sure you don’t do that because I don’t think mine was empty at any time of the night. I was so happy when my dad called me and said he talked to Perfectly Planned by Lacey about doing our photo booth and backdrop. When we talked to her about my wedding theme she gave us multiple options to choose from. My favorite was the white and green floral because I think it just would go with all the colorful floral already set up around the venue plus match everyone’s outfits.

I can’t wait to share more of my wedding with y’all in the next blog!
