Austin Venue Tour…Ranches & Resorts

Looking for that true Texas atmosphere at your wedding?  We are taking a venue tour this week of the area’s Ranches & Resorts. We have the run down to get you started on your wedding venue search.

JL Bar Ranch, Resort & Spa

A wedding at JL Bar Ranch is truly a memorable experience.

The resort is just past Junction in the Texas Hill Country. Aged oak trees and prickly pear cactus dots the 13,000 acres the resort is situated on. You’ll feel pulled into the elegance and privacy of this unique location from the moment you pull in front of the Main Lodge.

Couples love to host their ceremony at the Wedding Tree or in front of the Main Lodge. Each provides an idyllic backdrop for a romantic feel and beautiful photo shots.

Receptions can be hosted up to 500 guests, with both indoor and outdoor reception sites available. Host your event inside the wooden beamed wedding space, or out on the lawn in several fantastic locations. Thankfully, catering is provided onsite. This is ideal for couples looking for a single-vendor approach to many aspects of their wedding reception.

This is the ideal country luxury location for couples looking for a weekend destination wedding.

A full weekend itinerary will be provided for you, your wedding party, and your guests. From spa days to skeet shooting, everyone will find an activity they love.

No need to search for nearby accommodations. JL Bar Ranch has 16 luxury cabins and 16 spacious guest rooms, each one prettier than the last.

La Bonne Vie Ranch

The quintessential Texas Hill Country wedding ranch experience begins with La Bonne Vie Ranch.

At La Bonne Vie Ranch your wedding begins in the picturesque open-air chapel. The exterior looks just like a quaint country church, complete with white clapboard and stained-glass windows. The vaulted roof features long, wooden beams and beautiful chandeliers that add a touch of elegance.

Your reception will be held in a luxury barn-styled venue. The space has wooden walls made of reclaimed wood and soaring wood-beamed ceilings. Elegant chandeliers reflect along the beautiful flooring, and the venue seats 175 people comfortably.

The bride’s room makes a beautiful backdrop for your getting-ready photos. It has an old-school Hollywood feel with illuminated vanities, a small fridge and a private bathroom.

Additionally, there are plenty of guest rooms onsite at the venue. There are eight darling cabins onsite, a large Lodge with fifteen bedrooms, and a farmhouse perfect for couples with a suite, spa style bathroom, and a private sauna.

Bringing your furry friend along? La Bonne Vie even has a private kennel onsite!

Ranch House of Teravista

Want the ranch look without the drive? Look no further than the Ranch House of Teravista.

Situated on the Teravista Golf Club property, you’ll be transported the moment you enter the gates. The historic German-style ranch house gives off Old World elegance and charm with natural stones, a generous front porch and wooden beams.

Your choice of ceremonies includes a location on the beautifully landscaped grounds with a view of the lake as your backdrop. The Ranch House porch is also a favorite ceremony spot among couples. The white chairs can line front of the house while couples get married on the porch.

Additionally, couples have their choice of reception locations as well. The house features a recently created covered back porch perfect for outdoor weddings even when there may be a sprinkle or two in the air.

Couples looking for a fully indoor wedding have the inside of the Ranch House as an option. The space features sparkling chandeliers and an elegantly draped ceiling. The large windows allow for views of the picturesque grounds.

All your details will be well in hand with their experienced and attentive professionals!
