Love the beauty of outdoors but looking for a bit of elegance? This week we’re bringing you outdoor wedding views that are each unique in their own way. From Hill County wedding venues to outdoor venues right here in San Antonio, read more to find your perfect wedding venue.

Moon Shadow Haven

Moon Shadow Haven is a wedding venue that is truly a labor of love! Jim and Jane, the owners, created this unique wedding venue on their Hill Country estate with a desire to create magical and romantic memories for years to come.

Situated alongside Johnson Creek, the location has an outdoor ceremony site on the river. In addition, the wedding venue has an indoor chapel for couples who love the Southern church-charm look.

The spacious indoor venue has room for you and your 250 guests and allows for outside catering and ample onsite parking.

Couples love that Moon Shadow Haven can be more than just their wedding venue for the day. The location has onsite lodging as well, making it an ideal location for couples looking for that wedding weekend experience or just a quiet night nearby the evening of your wedding. Even if you don’t utilize the lodging space for overnight accommodations, the area has a gorgeous bridal suite and accompanying grooms suite, complete with attached restrooms.

San Antonio Botanical Garden

The beauty of a lush garden in the heart of downtown, it’s no wonder why San Antonio Botanical Gardens is a favorite among San Antonio couples. The 38-acre urban oasis offers showcases peaceful gardens along with it’s newest indoor/outdoor venue, the Betty Kelso Center. Its surrounding windows, sliding glass doors and patio overlook the grandeur and uniqueness of the Greehey Lawn.

The Oaks at Heavenly

You had us at Swavorski chandelier.

If you’re looking for a venue that brings together elegance, oak trees and romance, The Oaks at Heavenly is calling your name. Situated in Helotes just a few minutes from San Antonio, you’ll feel like you’re a world away. The oak trees are lit at sunset, creating an elegant ambience for your wedding reception.

Your ceremony reception will be held outdoors beneath a wrought iron arch perfectly suited to the outdoor space. You and your guests then move indoors to the ballroom that is anything but plain. In addition to the chandelier, the space has beautiful stone walls and wood detailing. With mahogany chiavari chairs and pintuck linens included, you have all the essentials to begin planning your reception.

The rental hours are generous and the amenities include bride and groom suites, free parking and (big win) ability to bring in your own alcohol.

Gardens at Old Town Helotes

If you’re looking for a quaint and picturesque wedding venue in the Hill Country, add Gardens at Old Town Helotes to your list!

This Helotes wedding venue stands up to its name with trees, gardens and small fountains throughout the outdoor wedding venue. The effect is charming and for couples who love the outdoor wedding look it is perfect.

The outdoor ceremony space comes complete with a white arbor at the end of a stone pathway. The view behind the ceremony space completes the Hill Country look with mature oak trees and a well-groomed green lawn.

For your wedding reception, you have the choice of an indoor or outdoor space. Even if you’re wanting a fully outdoor wedding ceremony and reception location, you’ll have the peace of mind that you can move indoors should the weather turn, without having to rent an expensive tent.

A great perk at the Gardens at Old Town Helotes is that you can bring in our own catering and your own alcohol!

La Escondida Celebration Center

La Escondida has beautiful views, mature trees, gorgeous lawn and is conveniently located on the Northside of San Antonio.

In addition to outdoor event space, this San Antonio wedding venue has two indoor spaces – the Starlight Pavilion and the Celebration Room.

The Starlight Pavilion gives you a great indoor/outdoor feel. The space is covered to protect from rain, but opened on the sides to allow for the beauty of the outdoor grounds to be viewed. The nearby Celebration Room features tiled floors and stone walls and is perfect for small weddings or as an extension of your outdoor space for dessert displays and more.

At La Escondida, you can bring in your own catering and alcohol in addition to all your other wedding professionals. And the team at La Escondida can recommend some of their favorites, and they even offer full-service wedding planning services should you need them.
