We recently spoke with Cherri about Messina Inn, her favorite vacation and what truly makes the wedding workweek great.

What sets your company apart from similar ones in the same field?

We are a FAMILY-owned & OPERATED venue and Inn. Our venue provides a weekend wedding experience in the Texas Hill Country with overnight accommodations, creek side ceremony sites, and a chandelier-lit pavilion. Unlike most hill country venues we are not a barn. Messina Inn has Italian villa vibes and an outdoor ballroom to dance the night away.

Are you a foodie? What’s your go-to dish?

My husband is the Chef in our home and here at Messina Inn, Depending on my mood: Brisket Tacos or Beef Short Ribs.

What is your favorite wedding tradition and why?

I love the Anniversary Dance… seeing all the married couples on the dance floor and then hearing the number of years of the longest marriage and their advice is priceless.

What was your favorite vacation ever?

We took a trip to California with my son. We drove there and stopped along the way, lots of great memories.

What is your favorite part of your work week and why?

Check-in Day! Meeting all the friends and family of our couples. We sometimes have guests from all over the world, I love that people will travel from far and near to watch two people exchange their vows.
